RSMF Updates

Dear RSMF Friends and Family,

Thank you so much for your continuing support of our foundation. With your help, we have launched the Riley’s Way Program. Through this program, we will work with third and fourth graders to spread kindness, friendship, and empathy.

We started the program with two amazing partner schools in New York City: Nightingale-Bamford and PS 81Q. Our amazing Youth Advisory Council, comprised of 11th graders from Nightingale and The Young Women’s Leadership School in East Harlem, helped facilitate the kick-off assemblies at both schools. With help from our team and supporters, Riley’s Way Program has reached over 400 students and teachers thus far!

An exciting aspect of our program is that as it grows, each school can customize it to fit the current needs of the school and students. For example, PS 81Q has created a Kindness Tree, where each of the students in the fourth grade has written an act of kindness on a handprint. This tree and their Riley’s Way bulletin board will allow students to recognize friendship throughout the year!

We’re also working with the schools to spread some holiday cheer this season. Students at both schools are writing holiday cards to give to local organizations in their communities. PS 81Q will share their cards with a nursing home in Queens and Nightingale will be thanking the volunteers who give their time to the All Souls Church’s soup kitchen. This has been a great exercise for the students as they are able to practice and recognize kindness.

We’d also like to announce our 2016 Riley’s Ride on March 12, 2016! Riley's Rides is a SoulCycle Charity Ride where 100% of the proceeds go to RSMF. This will be our only event until our free, family-focused event in the spring, so please join us for the ride and/or after party at Redemption to support RSMF and learn more about the programming we started this fall! Visit for more information and to purchase your ticket today.

Thank you again, for your continuing support. We could not have done this without all of you.
