Youth Advisory Council

The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a group of dedicated high school students who will help support and guide Riley's Way Foundation. The YAC is designed to connect students from public and private high schools in order to give them the opportunity to work together to spread kindness and friendship. By providing this partnership, RWF hopes to connect students from different backgrounds. The YAC will enhance participating students’ leadership skills so that they are able to enact change in their communities.

In addition to supporting the foundation, the YAC act as role models to our participating third and fourth graders by assisting our partner elementary schools implement Riley’s Way Program. They helped launch the program and facilitate various activities throughout the year.

Since the young women on our Council are incredibly passionate change-agents for their communities, we want to help them put their passion into action through a service-learning project. Throughout the course of the year, we will help them research, plan, and execute a service project that will both promote kindness and empathy in their schools or surrounding communities and provide them with tools to reinforce their existing skills such as leadership and empathy.
