The Riley’s Way Foundation Alumni Leadership Development Fund is awarded on a rolling basis to past Call For Kindness Fellows, Youth Leadership Retreat participants, or Council and Chapter members in order to support their leadership development and foster our values of kindness, empathy, and inclusive community. Through the distribution of this fund, Riley’s Way aims to support emerging leaders with the resources they need to grow and thrive. Funds may be used for professional development expenses such as hiring a tutor or coach, attending a conference, class, or workshop, or purchasing professional attire for an interview. You may apply for up to $575 in funding per calendar year. For 2024, up to 10 awards will be granted.


  • Past participant in Riley’s Way Foundation programming including the Call For Kindness, Councils, Chapters, Youth Leadership Retreats, etc.
  • Priority will be given to Alumni who have not previously received Riley’s way Leadership Development Funds.
  • Priority will be given to Alumni who have been actively involved in the alumni community.


  • Applications for the Riley’s Way Leadership Development Fund will be reviewed on a rolling basis until funds run out for the year.
  • Applications will be reviewed by a committee of Riley’s Way students, friends, and staff. At least 50% of the committee will be young people aged 13-25.
  • Applications will be reviewed using this scoring rubric.
  • You will receive a response within one month of submitting your application.

If your application is approved, please note that you will be expected to submit a short written reflection on how the funding supported your leadership development along with a photo. For example, if you receive funding to attend a workshop, we ask that you share a photo of you attending the workshop and a written reflection on what you learned from attending within a month of using the funds.
