"You've Got This" Teacher Baskets will provide a meaningful and rewarding opportunity for elementary school kids and teenagers to make a difference in their community. The Baskets, filled with cards, lotion, healthy snacks, kindness rocks, school supplies and more, will welcome teachers at Title 1 schools back to the classroom and celebrate their commitment to teaching.

Kids Give Back (kidsgiveback.org) is a 501©3 nonprofit dedicated to providing age-appropriate volunteer opportunities to kids ages 6-12 in order to inspire and empower the next generation of volunteer leaders. This summer we’ve hosted two weeklong summer camps focused on the three T’s of volunteering: Time, Talents, and
Treasure. Through reflection activities like journaling and volunteer collages, speakers from various nonprofits that tackle food insecurity to preschool illiteracy, and fun and engaging volunteer projects led by our Teen Volunteers ages 13 and up we help teach kids that they are capable of making a difference in their community.

It’s an honor to be a 2022 Call for Kindness fellow and with the support from Riley’s Way we will be able to expand our Teacher Baskets event in September so that 200 teachers at Title 1 elementary schools in the Northern Virginia area will know that they are appreciated and celebrated.
